Hegemony

Coercive hegemony

Established through physical force or the threat of force; its claim is “I am stronger than you.” It is the closest to the hegemony of the real, because it is the easiest to test. Its manipulative version is bluff, exaggerated threat and display of capacity.

— Physis: A Theory of Power — Concept Glossary
