On the Work, the Method, and AI
This page is the method statement of the Physis project. The Biography page tells who the author is and what was produced; this page tells how the work was carried out, the conditions under which it accumulated, and how artificial intelligence was incorporated in its final stage.
What lies behind a theoretical framework: who the author is, how they worked, under what conditions they produced. These questions are usually left outside the theory itself. I prefer to do the opposite.
Physis: A Theory of Power is the product of independent work begun in 2012. In the final stage of this work — its last year or two — artificial intelligence was used as an active tool. In translation, in formatting, in consistency checking, in argument testing, in indirect dialogue with the classics. To explain this use rather than hide it is, for me, more consistent and more important.
The method described here — what AI does in the hands of an independent researcher, what it cannot do, what kind of leverage it provides — is itself a concrete application of the Physis Theory's thesis. What AI is depends on whose hands it's in. In the hands of the upper class it is a tool that intensifies hegemony — a point that holds an important place in the Nomos Paradigm article series. But what is not stated there is that in the hands of the lower class — when used correctly — AI can be a leverage that turns decades of intellectual labor into concrete work; and that knowledge, communication, and awareness are quite limiting from the standpoint of hegemony.

CHRONOLOGY
2012. Power analysis of Turkey's 2002–2012 period began. Chronological power records were compiled through almanacs and news archives. This was Almanak's first form — it had no formal name yet, but the method was working from day one. Almanak-reading proved itself as a working method the moment it began; it gave me the ability to identify and track the phenomena of power dynamics and governing classes, and provided the starting point for the entire process.
2012–2014. A two-volume study was written (Turkey 2002–2008 and 2009–2012). A smaller study was conducted on the historical background of the same period. The Almanak method — chronological power recording, actor tracking, recording silence as data — did not just settle as a method; it also turned into a perspective I used when reading power dynamics and tracking political life. Observations on corporate entities also began to mature in this period, alongside these two phenomena.
2012–2022. Patterns in the records became visible: even when actors changed, power dynamics repeated; class positions were determinative. These patterns triggered a search for a theoretical framework. The Babil project began in the same period — reading history through the lens of power. The Reign of the Aristocracy was completed.
2022–2025. Historical synthesis work continued. The research process for The Rise of the Bourgeoisie was completed; writing reached the halfway point. Preliminary preparation and source identification for the third book began.
November 2024 — First contact with AI. A few months of trial; I learned what AI could and could not do, in which tasks it was efficient.
February 2025 — Beginning of theoretical work. The theoretical work I had planned for the end of the three history programs was brought forward. At first there were corporate entities, governing classes, and power dynamics; other chapters were added as the theory deepened, and the framework took on a holistic form. The Physis Theory was formalized.
March–April 2026. Three works were registered. Physis: 93 Falsifiable Hypotheses and the Preliminary Glossary were published on SSRN, and articles in the Nomos Paradigm Series began to be released. Triade Engine was prepared as the applied extension of the theory.
June–September 2026. The book was completed and typeset; a chapter-by-chapter editorial pass was run across all chapters. Writing of the Physis Series — the gateway paper opened for each text of the book — began.
October 2026. Final reading, then publication: the Turkish original edition on Zenodo, with a DOI.
Coming period. Triade Engine v1.0 release is targeted for 2027, with dedicated technical publication accompanying the release. The Rise of the Bourgeoisie and The Reign of the Bourgeoisie will be completed.
FOUR STRANDS
The four strands of the work interact and feed one another. None was designed with such an integrated whole in mind — they all emerged organically from research processes and ended up forming, somehow, an integrated system.
Almanak provides structured chronological records. Babil provides historical synthesis. Physis provides the theoretical framework. Triade Engine is the applied analytical extension. The four strands emerged independently and turned out to form a coherent research program.
The structural feature of this system is that it emerged from the data, not imposed on it. Most social theory first establishes a claim, then searches for evidence. Physis came in reverse — first data were collected, from 2012 onward, then patterns were seen, then the theory was constructed. The framework is designed to be tested against data — the cycle that scientific epistemology idealizes: inductive → deductive → inductive.
WHY DOCUMENT
As an independent researcher, transparency is for me not so much a problem as a mode of interaction. Because I carry no tension about what I do, sharing what I think are interesting discoveries is a pleasure.
I am not an academic, but if you go anywhere with this kind of theory, you naturally find yourself inside a highly disciplined work. Still, because I am not an academic, I do not know academic methods, I do not know academic jargon. When writing philosophy I cannot write like a philosopher. When discussing history I cannot speak like a historian. AI helped fill these gaps — but it did not replace creative work.
This account is my concrete experience. Not a model — a case. Whether another researcher draws a path from this for themselves or not, takes it as an example or not, depends on their own conditions.
THREE PHASES
My work's relationship with AI does not consist of a single moment. There are phases.
PHASE 1: SOLITARY (2012–2025)
There was no AI. Historical research was done by hand: library work, reading books, taking notes, compiling from available Turkish and English sources. Sumerian-Roman chronology, the medieval transformation, early modern research — all of this was done in this period.
In this period, the method that started everything was developed; the foundational phenomena emerged; the spine of the framework was built. The chronological recording method (which would later be named Almanak) was set, the triple historical synthesis series began. Many important phenomena within the theory book were distilled from research in this period.
I emphasize this because there is a risk of misunderstanding: there is no such thing as "producing theory with AI." AI did not produce a new concept for me. It did not construct an argument. Despite having the capacity to gather historical data, it is not a reliable enough instrument to write a book on a topic you do not know. In the end, it did not replace the labour accumulated since 2012. AI worked because the framework already existed. Without the framework, what AI does is either produce general clichés or rephrase existing concepts; not novelty.
The whole work was done without AI. Library, books, notes, synthesis. But I cannot say I saw this as a burden. Reading history is one of the hobbies I enjoy most, and still is. Beyond entertaining details and interesting stories, history is a good teacher; it shows important patterns to those who know how to look.
But to convey the depth difference between writing historical synthesis and writing an ontological theory of power through identified phenomena and the domains they interact with: the first is like a happy, enjoyable, low-risk walk in the park on a sunny day. The second is a chartless voyage of discovery on an unknown, raging sea — direction finds itself, every condition is its own test, every horizon a new question, no guarantee of return. In return, deep satisfaction and the thrill of discovering the limits of one's individual potential.
PHASE 2: ENCOUNTERING AI AND THE PRIORITIZATION OF THE THEORY BOOK (November 2024 — February 2025)
The theory book was actually a project waiting until the end of the third history book. It was a work I planned to write after I had traced all the threads from Sumer to the present and was sure I had not missed anything. That was the plan.
In November 2024 I had my first contact with AI. During a few months of trial I closely observed what AI could and could not do — I discovered how much it could speed up my work and increase my productivity. By February 2025, this discovery led me to reconsider my plan. I paused the writing of the second book. While continuing in parallel with the research for the third book, I decided to start the theory book. Because thanks to AI, I could write the theory book in a much shorter time — and I did not want to waste time for the theory's practical application (Triade Engine).
In this phase, I incorporated AI for the following tasks:
Consistency checking. AI is fast at this.
Gap detection. Catching structural gaps like "this concept is not defined," "this mechanism is not explained."
Argument testing. "What is the weak point of this argument; where would a critic attack from?" Socratic dialogue role.
Structural arrangement. Pouring hypotheses into a systematic format; checking internal references.
System design. Refining the long-standing chronological recording method into its current structured form; design considerations for the Physis framework's applied extension.
Publishing and internet strategies.
In this phase AI was not the architect, it was the auditor. I was building the structure; AI was a tool that tested the structure. The audit's output was not always a list of findings: at times it came as find-and-replace proposals, at times as a redraft of a section. None of these drafts entered the text directly; each remained a suggestion, settling into place only after passing through my approval and my own pen.
PHASE 3: PUBLICATION (2026–)
The structure was completed; the publication phase began. In this period AI's work has been:
Building a footprint. Planning how, in which channels, and in what form the existing projects and intended works would be carried out, and how my goals could be reached most efficiently.
Translation. Turkish to English, with consistency control of terms.
Academic formatting. SSRN abstract structure, Pandoc commands, academic chapter structure.
Editorial assistance. Shortening long sentences, weeding out clichés, smoothing transitions.
Process management. Guidance on filling SSRN forms, Medium publishing strategy.
The three phases matter because AI's role changed over time. In the first phase it was absent. In the second it was the auditor. In the third it has been a formatter/translator and, throughout the process, a 24/7 assistant that came to my aid whenever I needed it. But at no phase did it take part as a creator.
WHAT AI GAVE ME?
Reaching and organizing information. Reaching information, testing it, refining it, organizing it. Source analysis. When writing a theory, contributing to keeping the connections between ideas intact across the wide mental space they spread into.
The process moved like this: while researching, an expansion first begins in my mind — ideas open up, domains separate, the right ones catch the eye. This expansion sometimes reaches such intensity that it gives rise to the worry "what am I going to do with all this information, all these ideas"; this is a recurring feature of every starting phase. One gets used to this anxiety over time — but in the early phase of theory, when the structure has not yet settled, the unease of not knowing what you are losing weighs heavily: everything can seem important, nothing can easily be eliminated. As the structure begins to settle, the capacity to filter arrives; the nature of the anxiety changes. Then patterns emerge, ideas are confirmed, patterns are tested. Then connections are examined, detailed where they exist; one goes as far as one can in every domain. Working on theory is mentally exhausting. There were days I stayed in my study for fifteen hours. There were nights I built connections between theses until morning, and various angles entered my dreams. In my daily life, too, whenever I had time, my reading and the political developments I followed kept testing the working parts of my theory.
AI is not perfect. It has limits, imbalances, inconsistencies. But I have to say it allowed me to fit into one or two years a work that might otherwise have taken decades.
An interlocutor to test my thoughts. I work alone. There was no one to discuss my thoughts with, to test my ideas, to ask "what is the weak point of this argument." AI partly filled this gap: argument testing, consistency checking, gap detection, counter-argument generation.
I ask "what is the weak point of this argument?" AI shows the attack points. Most of the time the attacks are weak — AI produces easy criticisms. But sometimes a good attack comes. Sometimes it brings a new angle. Then I either strengthen the argument, accept it and correct the theory, or focus on the area the new information opens up.
AI does not replace a real interlocutor. The dialogue you would have with a thinking partner is deeper, more contextual, tighter. But compared with the alternative of nothing, it is hardly negligible.
It returned the labor of translation and formatting. Translation from Turkish to English would normally require a professional translator and money. Academic formatting, Pandoc commands, SSRN abstract structures — learning these would take weeks. AI returned this labor-time to me. I spent that time on the actual work — thinking, writing, synthesizing.
Consistency checking. There are many hypotheses and mechanisms in my theory. AI helped me track whether they contradicted one another as they were being formed. When I ask whether two specific mechanisms contradict each other, AI can answer in seconds; however much it needs supervision on this, it is fast. I designed the network. AI provided a layer of memory and control.
Indirect dialogue with the classics. Because I have not read the classics of modern social theory (a choice I will explain shortly), I needed AI in order to position myself relative to them.
The process: I ask "what would Marx say about the concept of corporate entity?" AI summarizes Marx's relevant positions. I compare with my own position. When the theory references an authority somewhere, it becomes interesting to see the difference between their position and mine. I identify the overlapping points, identify the points where I diverge, locate my own position. Of course the theory does not advance through this — it is not at the center of my method — but it is not useless either, and is even fun.
The method is honest but not without risk. AI can summarize Marx wrongly. It can miss an important nuance. I, in turn, may not be able to read AI's summary critically because I have not read Marx myself. I know this risk. To manage it: at critical points I ask multiple AIs; I have academic references verified independently; the "Position in the Existing Literature" sections of the book were the last to be written and the most often revised.
Editorial assistance. Shortening long sentences, weeding out clichés, smoothing transitions. Because I am not an academic, I do not know academic jargon; AI closed this gap. But not by adding jargon — by clarifying thought.
CLASSICS
My relationship with classical social theorists rests on a three-layered decision; I want to record this clearly at the outset, because it is one of the most easily misread points.
First layer: awareness exists, direct reading does not. I know Bourdieu's habitus, Foucault's concept of biopolitics, Gramsci's definition of hegemony, Marx's theory of surplus value, and Weber's instrumental rationality at the conceptual level. Throughout my work, I have collected the works I came across, works that paralleled my theory or sparked my curiosity; my library is gradually expanding. But this is not a systematic literature review. Rather than scanning every authority in every field, I selected works and ideas from philosophers, sociologists, and other disciplines that had interesting intersections with my theory or that aroused curiosity in the course of my research. I do not approach philosophy with a totalizing curiosity; the multidisciplinary nature of the theory spreads across a wide field, and I focus on the intersections of that spread that are meaningful to me.
Direct reading — that is, reading texts with my own eyes and absorbing them through note-taking — has not yet been done for most of these selected works. Dialogue with the classics was largely conducted indirectly, through AI: I asked AI about their positions, marked the differences from my own position, cross-checked critical points with multiple AIs, and independently verified academic references.
There is a conscious positional difference here: I am not an academic, and I have no intention of devoting what I have written or the period ahead of me to an extensive literature review. This demands serious energy; I prefer to channel that energy into new theoretical production and into work that can feed the framework across different fields. I will certainly read the classics, the major names in the field — but I will do this driven by my own curiosity and organic timing, rather than by academic obligation. Until then, I will continue to devote time to works that I find genuinely interesting within my field of attention.
Second layer: this was a decision based on an awareness that formed over time — not a decision taken at a single moment. Two distinct structural constraints became intertwined.
In the initial period, the framework had not yet sufficiently settled. Data accumulated since 2012 (the Almanac records, the historical research of Babel) were turning into patterns, but these patterns had not yet coalesced into a solid framework. At this stage, I had not reached the maturity required to read Bourdieu, Foucault, or Marx and compare them with my own position. Without a framework against which to compare, reading the classics would not have been a dialogue but a one-way absorption — and this would have meant surrendering the formation of the framework to the gravitational pull of the classics. A concept's gravitational pull is strong; once it enters, everything begins to reorganize itself around that concept. Not reading during this period was not a decision but a structural constraint.
After the framework reached a maturity that allowed comparison, the second constraint came into play: the nature of the writing process itself. Constructing a theoretical framework — settling its terminology, building the connections between mechanisms, preserving its internal consistency — is a fragile process. Once you have entered it deeply, interrupting it means watching the web-like connections you have been weaving dissipate in the slightest breeze.
There were occasions when I picked up books out of strong curiosity. By that point, my theory had perhaps reached a comparable maturity, but this time an entirely different problem emerged: because I would start reading and constantly compare, looking for "does this overlap, do I diverge here," I could not take genuine pleasure from the work itself or from learning. Reading was ceasing to be a dialogue and turning into a cognitive load test.
Beyond this, the emotional weight of the process was also heavy. When comparing a theory you are still uncertain about day by day, one you are trying to weave with your own hands, against powerful frameworks that have stood the test of time and become part of the world's cultural heritage, the slightest difference would multiply your self-doubt tenfold. This is not a race, of course; everyone is trying to define the universe within their own coherence. But it should be said that writing theory carries an emotional weight at least as heavy as its mental load, and sometimes heavier.
For this reason, not reading during this period ceased to be a constraint and became a conscious decision about pace. The framework was already built on accumulation since 2012 and moving rapidly with AI; preserving the flow was the priority.
These two periods transformed into one another over time. At first, not reading was a structural necessity; then it became a choice of pace. The order is therefore critical: I needed this order in order to be able to distinguish how much of what I had built was my own observation and how much was the reflection of others' frameworks.
Third layer: the first iteration of Physis Theory and the formulation of its general mechanisms has concluded; the framework's founding phase is complete. This can be thought of as the moment when the structural obstacle in front of direct dialogue with the classics has also been removed. The writing process from here on — the continuing articles of the Nomos Paradigm Series, the writing of the volumes of Babel, the theoretical infrastructure of Triade — naturally carries both the time and the structural motivation for comparison with the classics. This means the founding phase of the framework has ended and the development phase has begun.
I am only as confident of my work's originality as AI's analyses and scans allow: I probably have concepts that overlap with Bourdieu, Foucault, Gramsci, and many other theorists. I would have to read them myself in order to reject or confirm this. But if there is overlap, the reason for it is not that I read, absorbed, and rewrote them; it is that I see the same social phenomena through an entirely different path and accumulation.
One of the most reassuring moments in this process was that many independent sections, despite having been written at different times, complemented one another like puzzle pieces and almost never clashed with the existing framework. Such experiences kept alive, for a long period, the feeling that "I am building something true." At a certain point, all I wanted was to be able to go to the end and see the structure in its complete form.
After the framework took shape, the indirect dialogue I have described began organically. Without reading the classics directly — AI helped here. I asked AI "what would Marx say about this," and listened to its summaries. I clashed my own ideas against them, sometimes asking AI to kill my ideas, sometimes having my own ideas compared with those of the relevant philosopher or social theorist — we played games. Even being able to do this took time; scattered intelligent ideas were not enough; the holistic core of one's own theory needs to mature sufficiently.
I saw which parts overlapped with and which diverged from the perspectives of authorities across various fields; I tried to understand my own place — was the framework I had built on my own really original, did my perspective diverge too far from others, was it too weak, I wondered. The "Position in the Existing Literature" sections of the book were constructed this way.
This strategy is, of course, not without risk. There is the risk of rediscovery, the risk of overlooking important points, and the risk of errors in AI's summaries. At the points where I diverge, saying "I say this differently" is a claim of originality — that much is certain. But how real that claim is remains open, ultimately, to others' judgment. It was a strategy that made sense within a set of conditions specific to me. I present it as a case study, not as a model.
LIMITS
The reader is right to be skeptical of a work in which AI was used — let alone written by AI. The technology is new and what it can do is not very clear to anyone. Still, anyone who has used AI for a while knows that even the most capable consumer AI has limited boundaries and that its plaster falls off quickly. This does not diminish the value of the existing capacity; it has to do with calibrating expectations and learning how to use it.
Knowing what AI cannot do is more important than knowing what it can do. Otherwise you will trust it where you should not.
AI does not produce conceptual novelty. If you tell AI "suggest a new concept," it either renames existing concepts or gives you something superficial. The framework's original concepts — fraternity spike, corporate-entity paradox, V1/V2/V3/V4 evolution, ontological impermeability, three-layered power conflict — all came from the human mind. AI tested these concepts, did consistency checks while formulating, but did not produce them.
AI does not perform historical synthesis. Tracking power dynamics from Sumer to the present is human labor. AI can summarize a topic, even summarize it well. But it is not the kind of being that can ask "which pattern is repeating in this chronology" and pull the answer out of notes accumulated since 2012.
AI errs when working without context. Asking the same question in different sessions may produce different answers. It has no memory. You have to remind AI of your own framework each time. This is exhausting — but it is also the way to notice the limits of your own framework.
AI can lie. It can fabricate academic references. It can fabricate statistics. It can tell you "this author said this" with a quote that does not exist. I did not use any critical reference without verifying it. I have not violated this rule anywhere — because violating it would zero out the value of the work.
For this reason, having command of where you want to go and a rough route is wise; otherwise, using AI as a compass in unknown waters can take you somewhere very different from where you expected and intended to go.
The approval process works like this: everything that comes from AI is a suggestion — redraft proposals included. None of it is automatically accepted. Arguments pass through my logic; the theory does not belong to me, the theory is "me." Sentences pass through my voice. References are independently verified.
EARLY ADAPTATION
This account has another dimension: a temporal location.
Artificial intelligence will be in human life from now on. This is not a small development but an epochal change. Like the steam engine, like electricity, like the internet — not a technology you can step out of or stay outside of. The infrastructure of the age.
AI may never reach the level of consciousness it is currently being credited with. Some of the promises being made are exaggerated; everyone who uses AI knows this. But even at its present capacity, one should not be wrong about the magnitude: a leap as large as moving from the abacus to the calculator, from the corded telephone to the iPhone, from the calculator to the computer. Even if the promises are exaggerated, the reality is at this scale.
The practical consequence: not using AI is also a choice, but its disadvantage is sharp. Like using a manual film camera in the digital photography age. You can try — but a digital photographer attempts thousands of compositions every day, makes self-criticism on every frame, practices constantly with color and light. The manual film user is limited to 36 frames per roll, sends it to the lab, and compares notes after development. The difference is large. Both are taking photographs; but one learns many times faster, tries more, corrects more. This does not mean increased output entails increased quality, just as in photography itself; but the increase in reach and dissemination is an important positive effect.
In intellectual production, AI is a similar leap. You can test an argument a hundred times, check terminological consistency in seconds, hold indirect dialogue with the classics, handle a translation in hours instead of weeks. This is not "replacing thinking" — it is changing the speed of practice and the frequency of the feedback loop. The quality and quantity of practice produce a qualitative transformation. The manual film photographer too may one day master digital — but where they would arrive in ten years, the digital photographer arrives in one.
We are inside this age, but in its early phase. Using AI in intellectual production is still being read as "new" — with a bit of skepticism, a bit of curiosity, a bit of unease. Ten years from now, when we look back, the early examples of this period will be discussed: who used it when, how, with what limits? These cases will be read not as today's suspicious novelties but as the birth records of the age. In five, ten years, working with AI will be as normal as using electricity; even saying so will seem strange.
I can see this clearly because I am someone who uses AI every day, who has experienced firsthand what it can and cannot do. But a note must be added here. I am someone who can travel efficiently to where I want to go — in this respect I may have invented a method peculiar to myself, with the instrument at hand, in my own conditions. This method worked for me. But we are in a very early phase of AI — almost every day a new update, a new capacity, a new mode of use is coming out. In the more advanced stages of this age, far more effective, far more efficient, far more creative uses will emerge. Both AI itself will continue developing — given what has been done in the last six months in domains like application generation and code writing, the speed of leaps is itself a subject of observation. And as people begin to use it, the volume and variety of what is produced from it will increase.
What I think will be especially interesting is this: what people of capacity — those with deep intellectual substructures, those who have mastered their own field, those with questions, with curiosity — will produce when they begin using AI. What I have produced is a product of my own conditions: the case of what AI is good for in the hands of an independent researcher who has worked alone since 2012. In other conditions, with other capacities, with other questions, AI will produce very different things — and seeing those will be interesting.
This sense of temporal location makes non-concealment natural. If I were to hide it today, when it later came out I would face the question "why did he hide it?" But ten years from now, when producing theory with AI has become the norm, saying "I used AI" will not even count as information. When they look back at this account then, those who see it will say "these were early examples" — not as cases of suspicion but as the opening records of the age. That is why I have no need to hide. Nor to fear novelty. As someone who knows what AI is, who uses it daily, who observes its limits and its capacity, I can see clearly: this age has begun, we are inside it, and being one of the early examples is — not something to hide, but something to record honestly. Moreover, as an independent researcher my range of motion is wide; I have flexibility, and that is an important freedom.
So fundamentally there is nothing to hide. As much as one does not hide using a computer when doing something, hiding the use of AI is just as meaningless. The only difference between them is time: the computer has been a daily tool for thirty years; AI is only a few years old. The process of becoming everyday is moving fast.
I should also say: I think this is a rather interesting case. Writing a theory of power with AI — at this very early point in the age — is, I believe, not yet a frequent thing. I say this not as a credit to myself but as an observation. Perhaps that is the real reason this account turned out to be this long: the case is interesting; it needs to be documented.
AI AND CLASS
Now I want to step back a moment and make a theoretical observation, because the part of this account about AI rather than about my own person is what touches on the central thesis of the Physis Theory.
AI is a tool. One thing in the hands of the upper class, another thing in the hands of the lower class.
In the hands of the upper class, AI intensifies hegemony. Large companies use AI for productivity gains, labor substitution, decision automation, surveillance, and manipulation. The capital-centered corporate entity (in Physis's terms) will use — and is using — AI as an accelerator of its own singularization. The institutionalization of the V3 corporate entity — the AI-directed corporate entity — is the result of this use. The door to V4 — the corporate entity in symbiosis with AGI — is opened by this same use.
In the hands of the lower class, AI can be something else. For an independent researcher, a writer, a teacher, an analyst — for someone without academic infrastructure, editorial support, a translator, an assistant — AI is a leverage that turns decades of intellectual labor into structured work. It opens the capacity for production outside hegemonic structures. This production neither dismantles hegemony nor directly threatens it. But this development, which will surely produce various effects in the world's power dynamics, does not only feed the power dynamics among the upper classes; it also gives the lower class access to information and the capacity to generate awareness.
The asymmetry is sharp. Upper-class use of AI compounds with scale, capital, and infrastructure. Lower-class use of AI remains individual, does not scale, has no capital. Yet this quantitatively small use — works produced with AI by independent producers from the lower class — is qualitatively a different thing. Because these are not made for the upper class's interest; they are the products of an independent curiosity, an observation, a concern.
I see my own case in this second category. I worked as a manager in a family company; I was an employee in a kitchen; I did not read social-theory classics in an academic setting; I did not earn a university chair; I did not become an associate professor. The chance to use AI was a leverage for turning a personal curiosity pursued since 2012 into concrete work. Without AI, this work would probably have taken much longer. But with AI, it has now been completed.
Saying this is not to propose a model. I do not claim that anyone with AI can write a theory. Without a framework, AI produces clichés. I built the framework over the years since 2012; AI was an accelerator at the final stage. Anyone who tries to have AI build the framework will not end up with one.
But I can say this: as a concrete case of what AI can be in the hands of the lower class, this account and the Physis Theory stand together; together they form a coherent whole.
TRANSPARENCY
Here I need to use Physis's own concepts. Knowledge is power, and it has its own hegemonic capacity. In the sixth chapter of the book (§3), it is defined as one of the six types of hegemony: knowledge hegemony — gaining power by sustaining an asymmetry of knowledge. The upper class's perpetuation of the "I know, you will not know" position is an axis of power separate from economic resources.
This is why the upper class hides knowledge. Concealment is not a preference; it is a structural requirement of sustaining hegemony and of power conflict. When a piece of knowledge is disclosed, the power flowing from it disperses; when it is hidden, the asymmetry remaining in its possessor's hands continues. Corporate secrets, state secrets, methodological secrets, personal networks — all are different manifestations of this same logic.
The upper class does not always have a choice in this. Power conflict does not afford that choice. Within the logic of whoever yields first loses, an upper-class member who does not hide knowledge is at a disadvantage against rivals. Concealment becomes a structural necessity. The upper class cannot, therefore, be transparent while sustaining hegemony — it is locked into the paradigm. Transparency is costly to it, even existentially so.
The lower class's situation is different. The lower class also has knowledge — observation, experience, intuition, method. But the leverage of this knowledge in power conflict is small; concealment does not give the lower class a hegemonic advantage. This small leverage paradoxically opens a space of freedom for the lower class: it can choose not to hide its knowledge.
Thinking, wondering, seeking answers to questions, pursuing truth — these are domains that power conflict does not encompass. Power conflict does not directly threaten these domains, because it does not feed on them. These domains are Nomos itself. As described throughout the book, Nomos is choice. And being able to make this choice is — paradoxically — a capacity of being in the lower class.
I make this choice. I refuse the small knowledge-hegemony capacity that could be offered to me — I do not hide my method to set up the position "I am the only one who knows how I used AI." Because the marginal power that position would bring me stands in the way of what I actually care about: the method's ability to inspire someone else. If a single independent researcher, a single curious mind, has their path opened, that would be far more valuable than the marginal power I would have gained by concealing.
This is a sign not of having nothing to hide but of having chosen not to hide. The whole work is open. The use of AI is open. Its limits are open. I share this method with the luxury of being in the lower class and the excitement of being human.
WEAKNESSES
The program's fragilities are open and should not be ignored.
One-person operation. A project run from one hand since 2012. This is both a strength (consistency, vision unity) and a weakness (single point of failure, non-scalability). Documentation reduces this risk — knowledge is no longer only in one person's head. But the operational load is still on one person.
Delay of public testing. This work lives in an ecosystem without having established deepened contact with the academic community. Post-publication criticism will either strengthen the theory or reveal its breaking points; both are valuable.
Triade Engine remains in development. Until v1.0 release (targeted 2027) and its accompanying technical publication, the applied extension's empirical performance cannot be publicly evaluated. This is a stated limitation, not a hidden one.
Babil's incompleteness. The claim of "dynamics that repeat throughout history" will be strengthened by Babil's completion. Without The Rise of the Bourgeoisie and The Reign of the Bourgeoisie, the historical evidence base is incomplete.
Direct dialogue with the classics has not yet been carried out. Bourdieu, Foucault, Gramsci, Marx, and Weber are known at the conceptual level; rather than direct reading, indirect dialogue with them was conducted through AI. The three-layered structural reasoning behind this choice is detailed in the method section under the heading "Classics." With the closing of the framework's founding phase, this period of deferral is also closing. That said, this is the point at which post-publication criticism is most likely to land strongest.
I am unknown. No one knows me; no one is waiting for my work. The work's diffusion will be slow. A condition, not a complaint — a fact.
These criticisms are real. But the framework was built from the start to be falsifiable. Where the hypotheses can be broken is written explicitly. Criticism is not the ground for dismantling the framework but for developing it.
