The capacity for choice-based orientation — the ability to say “I want this.” It operates on two layers: momentary will (“I want this now”) exists in the natural structure of Physis and does not need Nomos; temporal will, through linear time-consciousness, extends to “tomorrow” and to “what do I want in the future?”
